Add 1 tsp brown sugar to a cocktail glass.
Add 3-5 dashes of bitters to the glass (we do closer to 5 because we like it more savory)
Add a splash of water to the cocktail glass and use a bar spoon to stir.
Add 3 oz of bourbon to your glass.
Add your big ice cube to the glass and stir one more time.
Using a kitchen torch or lighter, carefully flame your orange peel for a few seconds. Once you have done that, rub the peel around the rim of your cocktail glass. You can also twist and ring out the peel for a little bit more flavor. Place the orange peel in the glass once you have completed the above steps.
