There’s nothing I love more than a refreshing margarita on a hot summer day. It’s the perfect drink to sip on by the pool or at the beach, and there’s so many different variations and recipes.
Since I consume several margaritas during the summer months, I’m always trying to find a way to make them lighter so I can save on calories. This recipe below is only 100 calories per drink! You can drink this margarita guilt-free, and it won’t make you pack on the pounds. Even though there’s no sugar or triple sec in this margarita, it’s so delicious and refreshing. Cheers!
The Skinny Margarita
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz tequila
- 2 limes, cut in half
- Topo Chico
Instructions
- Add ice to a cocktail shaker.
- Add 1 shot (1½ oz) tequila to the cocktail shaker.
- Squeeze 1½ limes into the cocktail shaker.
- Shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
- Strain the drink into a lowball cocktail glass filled with ice.
- Top with a splash of Topo Chico.
- Optional: Garnish with a lime wedge.
