Hey y’all! Happy Saturday. I am so so excited for this post today. I had to get my Thanksgiving Tablescape done early due to work travel, so I am excited that I get to showcase it on my blog a couple of weeks early! I love making our table look pretty for the holidays, so this was a fun project for me.
For my Thanksgiving Tablescape, I knew I wanted to try to use things I already had on hand. I didn’t want to spend too much money for this project. The items I already had on hand were the chargers, plates, napkins, wine glasses and flatware. Most of these items were wedding gifts from Pottery Barn or Crate and Barrel.
I got most of the decor from Hobby Lobby, but I did find the wooden centerpiece at Home Goods. I seriously love that store!
For the centerpiece, I got a plastic pumpkin from Hobby Lobby and spray painted it white. I just carved the top part off so I could stuff it with fall florals. I basically just went through all of the fake florals at Hobby Lobby and grabbed what I thought would work best. I tried to mix it up with sticks, leaves, berries, etc.
The garland on the table is also from Hobby Lobby. I pick up a bag of acorns to spread throughout the garland to make it feel more fall!
Since I don’t know how to do hand-lettering myself, I got a stamp from Hobby Lobby and stamped some place-cards. Then, I just got some twine and tied it around the napkin with some greenery. So simple and pretty!
This project was so much fun and so simple. Again, I basically already had most of the stuff, I was just missing the decor pieces. After a trip to Hobby Lobby and Home Goods, I had what I needed and was well on my way to completing this project.
I hope I have provided some inspiration for you – even if you take bits and pieces from what I did, it is a great starting point!
Are you planning on decorating your dining table for Thanksgiving? What about Christmas? Unfortunately, we won’t be around for Christmas, so I probably won’t end up doing a Christmas one. However, you could easily change this into a Christmas Table by adding some red berries and different garland! Don’t make it hard on yourself. 🙂
Let me know what y’all think – I would love to hear from you.
Have a great weekend!
