I haven’t met a single person that doesn’t like shopping at Trader Joe’s. I love this store, and they are always coming out with the best products. It seems like each time I stop in, I am always finding something new and exciting. They have a great offering of healthy options like cauliflower rice, and they cater to all types of people including vegans and vegetarians.
Today on the blog, I wanted to share with you some of the staple items that I purchase at Trader Joe’s. Most of these are products that I have been buying for several months now. If you are looking for some easy meal ideas, this post is perfect for you. A lot of this can be found in the frozen section and can be prepared within minutes!
- Frozen Indian Food
- If you have never tried the frozen Indian food at Trader Joe’s, now is the time. It is so delicious! I love the Butter Chicken and the Tikka Masala. Their frozen garlic naan bread is also very good. I always keep a couple of these in the freezer – they are perfect if you are out of groceries or need a quick lunch option.
- Turkey Meatballs
- We make turkey meatballs for dinner at least once a week. They are delicious and only contain 100 calories per serving. We typically eat these over zoodles or regular pasta noodles. It is an extremely easy weeknight meal!
- Everything But the Bagel Seasoning
- I don’t know what else to say other than…..YOU NEED THIS. This is a staple item to have in your pantry at all times. You can put this on avocado toast, eggs, rice, bagels, or really just about anything. It will add so much flavor to whatever you are cooking.
- Cauliflower Fried Rice
- I love ordering fried rice when we go out to eat. Unfortunately, I don’t love the calories and all the butter that comes with regular fried rice. Trader Joe’s has a great alternative that will save you hundreds of calories! This is super easy to cook and can be paired with a protein like eggs or chicken.
- Black Bean Pasta
- I am mostly gluten-free, so I don’t buy regular pasta from the grocery store. This is a great alternative if you are looking to cut out gluten. Honestly, it tastes the same as normal pasta once you throw a marinara sauce on it.
- Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce
- When I buy a pasta sauce, I make sure there are no added sugars or weird ingredients. You’d be surprised how many pasta sauces have sugar listed as a main ingredient. The sauce I found at Trader Joe’s does not contain sugar and it tastes amazing. It is a pretty basic marinara sauce and would be perfect for picky kids.
- Steel Cut Oatmeal
- If you need a quick breakfast option in the morning, try this oatmeal. You will find it in the frozen section at Trader Joe’s, and it can be microwaved in just a few minutes. If you don’t like the texture of normal oatmeal, this might be a better choice for you. I was never able to eat oatmeal because I thought the texture was too mushy. This is not mushy at all!
- Carrot Ginger Miso Dressing
- If you like the salad dressing they serve at Hibachi restaurants, you will love this. I have always been on a hunt to find something similar, so I am glad Trader Joe’s pulled through for me! You can find in the refrigerated section. This makes me want to eat salads every single day.
- Chicken Sausage
- If you are looking for a new protein option, look no further. These chicken sausages are delicious and super simple. They have a wide variety of flavors and you can microwave them if you are in a rush. These can make a great lunch option, especially if you are trying to meal prep and save money!
Don’t forget to check out the wine aisle for some good deals! I have found some great wines for under $15. I’m thinking I might need to do a separate post to talk about my favorite Trader Joe’s wines.
What are your favorite items from Trader Joe’s? Have you tried any of these products before? Please leave a comment with your favorite TJ’s item so I can look for it the next time I shop!

Totally agree on the Everything But The Bagel seasoning being a staple item! I can’t wait to try the salad dressing now. We love their truffle marcona almonds, perfect to add to a charcuterie! And their gorgonzola gnocchi is delicious!
