Sunday night is a great time to get back into a routine. I love starting the week out with fresh goals and a new attitude. One of the things I like to do on Sunday night is spend a few extra minutes pampering my skin. I think it is important to take a little bit of time out of your night to cleanse your skin and prepare it for the week ahead.
Today on the blog, I am going to share with you my nightly skin care routine. I will admit that this does change with the seasons, but this is the most recent regiment I have been following. In the winter, my skin tends to dry out, so I have to apply more products like an oil or serum. Overall, this should only take you about 20 minutes. You could easily shorten this routine down to 5-10 minutes if you leave out the mask!
- Nourishing Cream Cleanser
- My first step in nighttime routine is to cleanse my skin and remove any makeup on my face. This cleanser from Beautycounter does a great job of removing all the dirt on your face, and it is very gentle. I rub the product all over my face and then use warm water and a washcloth to rinse it all off.
- Balancing Facial Mask
- I always like to do a mask after cleansing. This specific charcoal mask helps to prevent breakouts throughout the week, and it is recommended 3-4 times per week. This isn’t 100% necessary for a nighttime routine, so if you’re in a hurry to get to bed, you can skip this step.
- GloPRO Microneedling Regeneration Tool
- After I rinse off the mask, I take my GloPRO and roll it all over my face. This is a great tool if you want to boost collagen in your skin and prevent wrinkles. I have been using this as a preventative measure, and it has been working great! I have a couple of fine lines on my forehead, and the lines always look less noticeable after I use this tool. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to get more serious about their skin care and anti-aging regiment!
- Resurfacing Peel
- Immediately after I use the GloPRO, I apply my creams and serums. Do not wait to apply your products! I just starting using this resurfacing peel in the last couple of months, and it has been working wonders. My skin is glowing when I wake up the next morning. I love that this product has been helping to even out my skin tone. The recommended use is 2-3 times per week, but I don’t think it hurts if you want to use it more often.
- Countermatch Recovery Sleeping Cream
- After the resurfacing peel completely soaks in, I apply the recovery sleeping cream. This is a pretty standard night cream, but it really helps to lock in that moisture overnight. I saw results from this sleeping cream after using it for only one night. It was love at first use. I had never used a sleeping cream prior to this because I always thought it would leave my skin feeling too oily overnight. This product is great for all skin types and can be used on combination skin as well.
- Countermatch Eye Rescue Cream
- My final step in my nightly routine is to apply my eye cream. I had terrible under eye dryness last winter, so I really needed something to keep that area of my skin moisturized. When I use this in the morning and at night, I do not have issues with the under eye dryness. If you are consistent about applying this, it will work wonders! This is a great product for tired eyes as well.
This is a pretty simple routine to follow most nights of the week. I am guilty of skipping a few steps here and there, but I try my best to stick to the full plan. My goal with all of this is to keep my skin healthy and radiant as I approach my thirties. Plus, I am hoping to avoid Botox for as long as possible!
Do you follow a skin care routine at night? If so, what are some of your must have products? I would love to hear what your routine is like. There could be something important I am missing in my nightly routine, so I would love to hear your suggestions!
