Happy February! I was just thinking about this month and how excited I am for all of the things. For some reason, I feel like this is going to be a really good month. AND…..we already had a 75 degree day, so what else could we possibly need?!
I thought I would start with a quick recap of January – a few highlights and a few photos! It was a good month, but I am ready to move to bigger and better things in February.
January Highlights:
- We wrapped up our fabulous trip to London and Dublin.
- We volunteered at the Houston Marathon as start line corral captains.
- I started crafting custom doormats – let me know if you want one!
- My parents visited for a quick weekend, and we made pizzas!
- We made several Skinnytaste Recipes
- We tried 3 new restaurants:
- We had too much fun at the Piano Bar and acted like we were 21 (oops)
- We shiplapped yet another wall in our house.
- Houston had a SECOND snowfall this year and our pool did not like it.
- We built and put up a new light fixture in our bedroom.
- I went to several Orangetheory Classes!

Anyways, I am looking forward to so many things in February including:
- The Houston Rodeo and more specifically seeing Garth Brooks!
- My work conference in Palm Springs followed by a weekend getaway in Palm Springs.
- A quick trip to Dallas for a hockey game.
- Cooking even more Skinnytaste recipes. They are all so good!
- Building a sliding barn door? We will at least attempt it.
- Celebrating Valentine’s Day at home and opening a good bottle of wine!
- Having a day off of work – President’s Day.
- Starting to redo and “renovate” my blog – be prepared for a major overhaul soon!
- Keeping up with Orangetheory 5x per week – I am totally obsessed with that place.
