Hello! I am back with another post about our house. We are making progress slowly, but surely. One more project is checked off of the list and that feels good!
This project was a simple one, but I still wanted to do a quick post on it and show everyone the before and after pictures.
When we first looked at the house, I loved that it had the Jack and Jill bathroom set-up, but I HATED the lime green color of the shared bathroom. I knew it had to go.
All it took to transform this room was a little paint, a new shower curtain and a few knickknacks. This was one of those quick and dirty, under $100 projects – our favorite!

We actually had to apply 2 coats of Primer before we could paint. It was really tough to get rid of the lime green. We ended up only applying 1 coat of paint (Chelsea Gray was the color).
I built the shelf myself. All I did was cut a piece of wood, stained it, and put it up with a couple of brackets. I also painted the brackets the same color as the wall so they would blend in a little more.
Products:
- Paint Color – Chelsea Gray from Sherwin Williams
- Shower Curtain – Target
- Bath Mat – Target
- Shelf – Homemade – Lowes
- KnickKnacks on Shelf – Home Goods
What do you all think of the quick transformation? Obviously, it is nothing too crazy, but I wanted to show you a quick weekend project! Don’t underestimate the power of paint and a few decor items!
