Even though it’s still summer, I am already looking ahead to fall and all the fun things that a new season brings. There always seems to be something exciting going on in the fall no matter where you live. I love watching college football on Saturdays, and I love decorating for the holidays. It’s also a great time of year to get outside and go for a walk in the crisp air.
Today on the blog, I am sharing my fall bucket list in hopes that it inspires you to make a bucket list of your own. Read through the list below, and let me know if any of these are also on your fall to-do list!
- Go to a pumpkin patch.
- It’s been years since I have been to a pumpkin patch, so I thought it would be fun to try to find one to visit this year! I don’t know if there are near us, but I am on a mission to find out.
- Visit the Texas Renaissance Festival.
- We have been meaning to do this since we moved here in 2015, but we’ve never gotten around to it! I have heard great things about the festival, so I am making it a priority to check it out this year.
- Brunch at Tiny Boxwoods.
- We always go to Tiny Boxwoods for dinner, so I want to change it up and try it for brunch sometime this fall! I hear their brunch is amazing.
- Decorate for Fall.
- I want to get our house in order and start decorating for the new season. I want to do a new tablescape for the dining room, plant new flowers, and make a fall doormat. I also want to find some new fall candles!
- Have a picnic.
- Once the temperature gets below 80, I want to do a nice picnic outside. It’s something I have been wanting to do a long time now!
- Visit Fredericksburg.
- Being the winos that we are, we need to visit the Texas wine country! I know it won’t be anything like Napa or Sonoma, but I still think it would be fun to spend a weekend here. There are so many cute bed and breakfasts in this area, so it would be very a relaxing getaway.
- Try a new soup recipe.
- Fall is the time for warm recipes! We tend to make the same recipes over and over, but I want to branch out and try making some new soup recipes. If you have a favorite fall recipe, leave it in the comments below!
- Bake cookies.
- Not only do I want to make some new fall recipes, but I also want to bake cookies. I think I am going to try Joanna Gaines’ chocolate chip cookie recipe first.
- Go to a local Oktoberfest.
- We have never participated in any of the Oktoberfest activities in Houston, so I want to find a few fun things to do. We love our craft brews, so I am sure we will end up at a brewery for one of their fall events.
- Clean out the garage.
- Alex requested that I put this on the list. He wants to do a thorough garage clean out and get more organized. Our garage gets pretty messy since we like to DIY a lot of things, so there tends to be wood and paint everywhere!
What’s on your fall bucket list? Are there any fun trips or events that you are attending? Tell me what you’re looking forward to the most in the comments below!
