If you have ever watched the show “Fixer Upper” you might be a bit obsessed with Chip and Joanna Gaines and their brand, Magnolia. I know I am, and I have been watching their show since it started! I love their style and they are so fun to watch (FYI – the show is on HGTV).
When I found out that they had a market, I knew it would only be a matter of time before I made it there.
I live in Houston, TX, so fortunately it was only about a 2.5 hour drive to get to the Magnolia Market in Waco! Crazily enough, we met some people at the market that had flown in from Utah and Washington! We aren’t the only ones who love Chip and Jo!
We decided to go on a Saturday despite the fact that Saturday is probably the busiest day to go. We got there about an hour AFTER it opened (opens at 9:00 AM), and it was pretty crowded already (but no line to get in!).
We went inside the shop first. Everything was displayed beautifully.
After walking through the market and making our purchases, we headed outside to check out the grounds.
You can bring your kids, have them run around, play soccer, bags, etc. There are even cute little chairs to sit in and relax!
Not only are the Silos really neat, but Chip and Jo also put in a garden area! There is more to come with the garden area, so I am eager to go back and see the finished product!
We wrapped up our time at Magnolia with a stop at the food trucks on site! We ate at Sandwichd and it was so tasty. I got a chicken rice bowl with cilantro lime sauce and veggies – it was amazing.
I would definitely recommend trying to go early if you plan on going on a Friday or Saturday. The foot traffic was already picking up when we left midday.
Tip for Parking: You can find free street parking, but there is a chance you might have to pay for parking in a lot. We paid $10 for parking in a nearby lot, so bring a little cash if you can (everything else takes card, including food trucks).
After we left Magnolia Market, we headed over to Spice Village. I think this is also a MUST when going to Waco. We ended up spending more time here than I thought, and I walked out with 4 new dresses! They have boutiques, home decor, knick knacks, etc. They carry brands like Kate Spade, Vera Bradley, Lilly Pulitzer, etc.
If you can’t make it to the Magnolia Market, no worries! You can still by some of their products online: Check It Out Here. My favorite item is the signature Magnolia Wreath. It is now hanging on our front door!
Overall, it was a great trip and very doable for a day trip if you live in a nearby city. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for something fun to do on a weekend.
So, there you have it! Our day trip to Waco and the Magnolia Market Silos! What are some other fun day trips y’all have done?

I see a lot of interesting posts here. Your site can go viral easily, you need some initial
traffic only. How to get initial traffic??? Search for: masitsu’s viral method
