If you read this blog post last week, you know that I’ve been consistent with my workouts for an entire year. I’ve been going to Orangetheory since last July, and I have completed over 200 classes! I am really proud of myself for sticking with it and staying consistent. When I am home, I typically go to 5 classes per week. Each workout is extremely challenging and different from the previous class, which is why I keep coming back.
Now that I have completed several hundred classes, I’ve started to ask myself, “What’s next?” I want to keep challenging myself, and I want to make sure that I keep seeing results. I still plan on going to my Orangetheory classes, but I want to mix in a few other workouts as well. I am hoping to mix in more stretching so I can prevent injuries. On top of working out regularly, I want to be better about sticking to a healthy diet when I am home. I know I will see even more results if I can stick to a meal plan 80% or more of the time.
Below are a few goals I have for myself from a fitness perspective. These are goals I want to achieve in the next 6 months or less.
OTF Goals:
- Try a 90-minute class.
- Hit 300 watts on the rower.
- Run a 6:40 mile.
- Increase my all out speed to 10 MPH.
- Increase my base pace to 7 MPH.
Non-OTF Goals:
- Do yoga once per week.
- Do a 3 mile walk on my days off from OTF.
- Do 30 push-ups per day.
- Eat clean 5 days per week.
I know some of these will be more challenging than others, but I think this is a good list to keep me motivated the next 6 months. Also, I tend to do better with my goals when I have something to strive for or work towards. I don’t have a specific event or vacation in 6 months, but maybe I will schedule something so I stay extra motivated!
