It’s officially August and we are over halfway through 2018! Is everyone freaking out yet? Before you know it, the kids will be back in school and everyone will be back in their routines.
I feel like we have kind of been all over the place this summer, so I am going to use August as a month to be a little more focused and accomplish a few things I have been putting off. We don’t have any trips planned other than a couple of business trips, so I am looking forward to spending a little more time at home together!
Today, I am sharing a list of eight goals that I want to accomplish this month. I used to share my monthly goals on the blog, but I haven’t done it for a while! I hope you enjoy reading through this list.
- Write one blog post per day
- This is going to be hard, but I really want to challenge myself to get more content up! There are so many blog posts that people have requested that I haven’t done yet. I want to make sure I am giving my readers what they want!
- Do yoga once per week
- I always say I am going to do yoga and stretch more, but I never actually do it. I had a lot of knee and hip pain during the month of July, so I really want to make yoga a habit during the month of August.
- Intermittent fasting
- I have been doing intermittent fasting on and off for several months now, and I really like it. Basically, I consume all of my calories in an 8-hour window. It’s pretty easy for me during the week, but I fail miserably at this on weekends. I really want to try to do this every single day in August!
- No shopping for clothes
- I have a bad habit of buying too many dresses on Amazon! I already have too many clothes in my closet, so I am going to put the shopping on hold for a month.
- Try a new wine every week
- As you already know, I am really into wine. Lately, I have been curious about wine regions other than Napa and Sonoma. I want to branch out more and get to know other grapes and varietals. I love learning about wine!
- Finish reading my summer books
- I did a blog post earlier this summer and told myself I would read all the books on that list. I am about halfway through, so I want to make sure I get all of these finished!
- Take at least 20 classes at Orangetheory
- This shouldn’t be too hard for me, but I want to keep myself accountable! I don’t want to slip up after staying strong for the past year. I love how I feel after these workouts.
- Try one new restaurant in Houston
- We haven’t branched out much with our restaurants lately. We keep going back to our favorite places and we haven’t tried anything new in months! I want to change it up this month and something new and unique. It should help that Houston Restaurant Weeks is taking place!
