Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone has been having a good week. The weather has been so gloomy in Houston this week, so I feel like I could go back to bed right about now. A major cold front came through, and now I am on a mission to find a coat! I can’t believe I have been living for 2.5 years without a coat. I might have to face my fears and attempt to go to the mall in the midst of the crazy holiday shopping.
Speaking of the holidays, I thought it would be fun to share all of our holiday decor! We really don’t have a ton of decor for how much house we have, but I am sure we will be adding more pieces each year. It would cost a fortune to deck the halls in our home from head-to-toe! However, I am excited that we have done more decorating this year than ever before.
Come on in!
We made these planters a couple of weeks ago and bought fake, pre-lit trees from Target. I made everything a little more festive by adding berries and a bow. I still need to make a new wreath for the front door, so stay tuned for that addition!
As soon as you step inside our home, you will see this “Be Merry” doormat. I purchased this from Target last year.
This is a fun little area near our staircase. Eventually, we will put a HUGE tree here, but for now, we just decorate this piece of furniture. The antique window is from an antique store in Old Town Tomball – I leave it there year-round. For the holidays, I added the Christmas wreath, the frosted greenery and the Christmas sign.
One of my favorite things in our home right now is this bar cart. Last year, I had used this garland on our mantle. This year, I decided it would be fun to place it on the bar cart. I think it adds a nice touch without being too overwhelming.
Next up, I will share a few pieces I added to the kitchen. I always have this chalkboard in the kitchen, so I just re-wrote the sign to say “Merry” instead of “Welcome”. I also added the little string of lights.
I found this cute tea towel at the Nutcracker market, so I decided to display it on my oven.
I added a candle and a Christmas jar on top of our wine shelf. I didn’t really have another spot for these items, so this seemed like the best area.
Next up is our living room. We could probably do a little more decorating on the mantle, but I think I like the simplicity of this.
I got our stockings from Mark and Graham a couple of years ago – I still LOVE them.
We have two couches downstairs and we made one of them really festive. The other one is still pretty boring, so I didn’t take a picture of it!
Last, but certainly not least is our dining room. I have an entire post dedicated to this space, so if you want to see more, check out my post linked here.
If you are wanting to shop any of the products, I linked some of them below. A few things are from last season like the “JOY” pillow and the doormat.
